Residential is typically the most broad and diverse category in metal building construction and in some cases, the most custom. Some residential applications include:
Metal House Roofs
Barndominiums (shop/living combo)
Steel-frame Homes (Economy and Luxury)
Any of the structures listed above serve a vital purpose, to shelter and protect the people and things that are of value to you. We understand the significance of this investment to you and that drives our commitment to provide you with a durable, functional structure as well as one that is done with care and attention to detail.
Want functional and beautiful? Traditional finishes such as stone, brick, and wood can also be incorporated into any metal building design. This occurs often in Residential building types, and can be added as a beautiful complement to the metal or simply as a way to cosmetically tie-in the structure to other existing structures on your property.
Barndominiums and Steel-frame Homes are typically the most custom in nature of all the Residential structures. GCC has tools to assist you in getting started on this process such as a portfolio of custom floor-plans for your perusal that may be beneficial during the initial stages of planning your home design. We also offer pre-set spec home packages with pricing to further facilitate the bid process. "What is the square foot price of a home" is our most asked question. We will always try our best to give you a ball-park figure, but please keep in mind that we are a truly CUSTOM builder so that price could vary substantially depending on the size, additions, and finishes that you select. With more feedback from you specifying major components and/or stylings that you would like in a custom home we can work to get a more accurate price for you. Floor plan design, soil testing, and engineering, however, would need to be accomplished before a true bid on a custom home could be presented.
We do recommend and offer a Pre-Bid Design package that includes soils testing, engineered slab design based on soil test results, home/floor plan design work-up with up to three revisions, a complete set of design drawings, and a detailed bid for your custom project... all pre-construction requirements no matter who you choose to build with and will ultimately save time during the actual construction process. We have also found that this process offers peace of mind by giving you an opportunity to "test drive" us in a short term capacity before making the larger commitment of partnering to build a home. Once purchased, the package is yours to keep and utilize whenever you decide to build.
